Annie Lennox
| Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson was her mother and Thomas Allison Lennox was her father. Lennox won a scholarship award to study at the London's Royal Academy of Music for 3 years. Lennox lived on an allowance for students and went on part-time employment to augment her funds. Lennox wasn't satisfied with the level of her performance compared with others at the Royal Academy and began looking to find alternative routes. Lennox began her career as an instrument player in the band Dragons Playground. However, she left prior to New Faces, the I.T.V. talent competition. She was the lead singer for The Tourists (a British popband) from 1977 to 1980. In this band, she was met by Dave Stewart. Together they will create their own group, the Eurythmics pop duo. Lennox was working on her own first album Diva. It was released in 1993. It was a huge success both commercially and critically. Nostalgia Lennox's sixth solo album came out in November of 2014. The C.D. Lennox selected her favorites soul jazz blues tracks from the time of her childhood. Lepidoptera is a collection of four tracks that she improvised for piano that Lennox released in May, 2019. The E.P. Her first solo album along with her work at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art entitled "Now I'm letting You Go." Annie Lennox (born December 25 in 1954) is a Scottish politician and singer. The Tourists were a new-wave band that achieved some success in the late 1970s. In the following years, Lennox joined the band with fellow singer-songwriter Dave Stewart to form the pop duo Eurythmics. In 1992 Lennox started her own solo career with their debut record Diva that produced a number of hit songs, such as Why and Walking in Broken Glass. Medusa the album from 1995 studio features cover versions of the songs No MoreI Love Yous and A Whiter Shade of Pale. Six solo studio albums, plus one compilation album the result of her efforts. |
